Pedigree scholars all agree that approximately 80% of the foal's genetic make up comes from the dam. Proving this, Beautiful Glass is the dam of Jeanne Jones, Grade I winner, second in the Breeders Cup Juvenile, and second in the Kentucky Oaks. She is also the dam of Beautiful Crown (Sire), considered to be the fastest sprinter in America in 1996, over 6.5 furlongs. And, of course, Avenue of Flags (Sire), Grade II placed, with over $14,000,000 in progeny earnings.

Beautiful Glass' sire was by Pass the Glass, a setter of 3 track records in America. Pass the Glass was by Buckpasser, champion 2 year old, champion 3 year old — and, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1970.
